Cold and Warm Food

I had a pomelo from Ipoh sitting in the kitchen. According to the "expert", it was a sweet pomelo.

I never have much luck when it comes to this particular fruit. But, if it left uncut, it will sit there until mid-autumn festival and it will be rotting from the inside, so I should either open it, or give it to someone else.

The smart one suggested pomelo salad.

Salad... Hmmm~~~

So, put all the cold stuff together first.

Half of Pomelo and release its pulp
Lettuce leaves, shredded
Onion, sliced

And then the warm stuff...

1 chicken breast, grilled
5 to 10 button mushrooms, saute
2 tablespoons of toasted Pine Nuts (or any nuts you like)

I like salad, because it means throw everything together and walla you are done!

The dressing?

Juice from half of a lemon
A few drops of Tabasco sauce
A teaspoon of mustard
A dash of olive oil

Shake well/mix well.

Drizzle the dressing on the salad, toss well, garnish with chopped coriander.

There!

Makan!

I also made potato and tempeh casserole ;)

It finished in a blink!
